2020 Isuzu D-Max 4×4 revealed

The D-Max range has not been very old here in India, but is surely gaining popularity among those who love street cred and plenty of real estate on wheels. After nearly 8 years, Isuzu has now introduced a new D-Max model for the global market and this is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2020. This 4×4 pick-up truck now looks more modern and will rival conventional 7-seater SUVs in the size department, while it can seat only 5 inside the dual-cab variants.

At the front, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max sports a massive air dam coupled with the grille slats in black. Yes, the chrome loving markets will have more shiny bits. The Isuzu badge boasts itself on the front and there’s also skid plates on the lower end of the bumper The Isuzu D-Max now gets LED DRLs with projector headlamps and LED fog lamps housed in a sharp design on the bumper with the turn indicator stacked above. On the side, you have healthy plastic cladding on the wheel arch section and a side step for easy access in this huge pick-up. Rear view mirrors are contrast painted and there’s subtle roof rails as well. At the back, you have the typical pick-up truck design with a functional open loading bay. At the tail end, you get LED tail lamps and the reverse camera very neatly tucked in the handle to open the loading bay. Of course, you will get allow wheels on this model.

The cabin inside will be much more modern with leather upholstery, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment, coloured MID in the speedo console, wider seats, etc. Other bits will include blind spot monitoring, emergency stop signal, 6-airbags, high tensile steel body, Shift-on-Fly 4×4 mechanism with 4Low ratio, electronic differential lock, etc.

In the Thailand market, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max will be sold with a 3.0L diesel engine producing 190 HP of power and 450 Nm of torque. The other option will include the 1.9L Gen2 diesel engine producing 150 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque.
