2020 Honda CBR150R revealed to rival Yamaha YZF-R15 V3

Honda at the Motor Expo 2020 revealed that the brand will be introducing the new 2020 model year Honda CBR150R super sports motorcycle in the Thai market which features a new hexagon design graphics, four new colour styles that match the lines of the sporty fairing and will also be equipped with ABS technology for safety. The company has now introduced the new 2020 CBR150R in Thailand. 

For starters, the 2020 Honda CBR150R comes with four colour options – Sword Silver Metallic, Asteroid Black Metallic, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Dynamic Red. The Sword Silver Metallic features a silver finished nose, fuel tank and tail cowling along with black side panels and orange graphics, orange-painted belly cowl, front wheel and front fender. The Asteroid Black Metallic features Black bodywork along with Orange graphics and Orange finished alloy wheels, the Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic features Matte Black bodywork with Orange graphics and the Dynamic Red comes with bright red bodywork and wit red-orange alloy wheels and black parts. 

The 2020 Honda CBR150R is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC engine that produces 17.2 PS of power and 14.4 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The CBR150R comes with a preload-adjustable conventional hydraulic telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable link-type mono-shock suspension on the rear. The CBR150R comes with a 1309mm of the wheelbase, 166mm of ground clearance and 787mm of the seat height. The 2020 Honda CBR 150R features single hydraulically operated petal disc brakes on both ends equipped with a dual-channel ABS system. 

The Thai-spec CBR150R is completely different from the version that was sold in the Indian market a few years ago. The new motorcycle features a sharp design inspired from the Fireblade and comes with twin split LED headlamps with eyebrow-like daytime running lights, LED turn signal lamps and LED taillamps, a muscular fuel tank, a race-style windscreen, two-up seats and a hexagonal full LCD digital instruments cluster. The 2020 Honda CBR 150R will rival the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3 in the Thai market and if the brand introduces it here in India.  

The 2020 Honda CBR150R will come at a manufacturer’s suggested price of THB 99,700 and THB 92,570 for the standard model with the only-Black paint finish.
