Harley-Davidson launched the BS6 compliant version of the MY2020 Iron 883 roadster in March 2020 at prices starting INR 9.26 lakh ex-showroom and the bike has now seen its first price hike of INR 12,000. The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 is offered in four colour themes – Black Denim, Baracuda Silver Denim, River Rock Grey, now priced at INR 9.38 lakhs ex-showroom and Scorched Orange/Silver Flux (Dual Tone) priced at INR 9.89 lakh ex-showroom.
During the MY2020 update, the brand gave the Iron 883 revised styling with a dark custom theme and has a crude stripped-down styling. It follows the new anti-chrome theme with a lot of blacked-out parts with only minimal silver and chrome accents. The 2020 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 features rounded headlamps, a classic drop tank, black finished drag-style handlebars, rounded pod-style instruments console in black, black side panels, chopped-off fenders, telescopic front forks with black gaiters, single-seat with tuck and roll pleated upholstery, 9-spoke black alloy wheels with machine-finished accents.
The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 is powered by BS6 emissions-compliant 883cc Air-cooled V-Twin Evolution rubber-mounted engine with a 76.2mm bore and 96.8mm stroke with a 9:1 compression ratio. The carburetion is through an Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and the engine generates 68 Nm of torque at 4750 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is powder-coated in black and comes with black rocker covers, round air cleaner cover finished in black and black exhaust headers & black tapered mufflers to stay in-line with the anti-chrome theme.
The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 measures 2,185mm in length with a 1,515mm of the wheelbase, 140mm of ground clearance and a 760mm low seat height and the motorcycle tips the scales at 247 kg. For cycle parts, the Iron 883 comes with conventional telescopic forks at the front and spring type twin hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear. Braking power comes from hydraulically operated disc brakes with dual-piston callipers on both the wheels.
