Datsun has launched the new 2020 facelift Redi-Go in the Indian market at the starting price of INR 2.83 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Datsun Redi-Go has been updated with refreshed styling on the outside new equipment on the inside as well as a few mechanical changes including the new BS6 compliant powertrain. The 2020 facelift Datsun Redi-Go is offered in four trim variants and three engine gearbox options. For the 2020 facelift, Datsun has also added two new colours – Blue and Brown making the car available in 6 colour options.
On the exterior, the Datsun Redi-Go features a larger than before chrome-accented grille with Datsun badging in the centre and covers a significant part of the front apron, bumper integrated L-shaped vertically oriented LED daytime running lights, low mounted LED fog lights, faux skid plate in black, sweptback combination headlamp units, raised ridges on the bonnet, flared rounded wheel arches, ‘Datsun’ badging on the front fender, pole antenna above the front windscreen, tailgate integrated spoiler and wraparound combination taillamps.
On the interior, the 2020 Datsun Redi-Go facelift features a layered but uncluttered dashboard with a wide satinised silver embellishment running across the fascia, a centrally located 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, utility spaces, internally adjustable manual ORVMs, a glove box, parking assist camera, analogue-digital instruments console with a blue dial analogue speedometer and a blue backlit digital LCD multi information display, three-point power steering wheel, manual air-con and trapezoidal air vents.
The 2020 facelift Datsun Redi-Go comes with two engine displacement options in the BS6 petrol avatar. An 800cc petrol motor that produces 54 Ps of power and 72 Nm of torque is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The other 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 68 Ps of power and 91 Nm of torque comes matched to a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT automatic option. Dimension wise, on the exterior, the Datsun Redi-Go measures 3435mm in length, 1574mm in width, 1546mm in height, 2348mm of the wheelbase and 187mm of ground clearance.
Last year Datsun upgraded the Redi-Go to AIS145 compliant safety standards and the car features a Strong Crash-Resistant Body Shell, dual airbags, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, over-speed alert system, rear parking sensors, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD).
