BMW has silently reintroduced the entry-level diesel variant of the BMW 3 Series, the 2020 BMW 320d Sport in the Indian market. The BMW 320d Sport has been launched at the price of INR 42.10 lakh ex-showroom. The new price list is effective from 22nd July 2020 pan India. Price-wise the BMW 320d Sport is positioned between the entry-level petrol model the BMW 330i Sport and the BMW 320d Luxury Line.

The BMW 3 Series has been updated into the seventh-generation and in terms of styling, the sedan car features chrome-accented kidney grille with vertical slats finished in black LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED foglights, an angular front bumper with multiple cuts and crease lines along with a large air dam, a raised bonnet with a muscular profile, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, LED combination tail lamps etc.
On the inside, the BMW 320d comes with three-zone automatic climate control, control mounted leather-wrapped steering wheel, analogue instrument cluster with 5.7-inch multi-information display, 10-speaker music system. On the other hand, the BMW 320d Luxury Line and the 330i M Sport feature 12.3-inch BMW Live Cockpit fully digital instruments display and electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats with memory function.
In the engine department, the BMW 320d is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 190 HP of power and 400 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission sending the power to the rear wheels. The same powertrain is shared by the BMW 320d Luxury Line variant.
In the Indian market, the BMW 3 Series competes with the likes of the Jaguar XE, Mercedes-Benz C-class, and the Audi A4.
For 2020, BMW’s 3 Series lineup includes the 330i Sport (Petrol), 320d Sport (Diesel), 320d Luxury Line (Diesel) and the 330i M Sport (petrol).
