Following its teaser campaign, Audi India has commenced bookings on its fifth product launch of 2020, the Audi Q2 SUV in the Indian market. The Audi Q2 can now be booked at all Audi India dealerships and on the official company website. The Audi Q2 can be reserved with an amount of INR 2 lakhs. The Audi Q2 is expected to be offered in multiple variants. The Audi Q2 is based on the MQB platform and in terms of its exterior dimensions, the Q2 SUV in the international market measures 4191 mm in length, 1794 mm in width, 1508 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2601 mm. The SUC also comes with a large 355 litres of boot space on the Quattro all-wheel-drive model.
The Audi Q2 SUV in the Indian market is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 190 Hp of power and 320 Nm of torque matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that is capable of propelling the crossover SUV from 0-100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds. The Audi Q2 comes with a standard Quattro all-wheel drive with a progressive steering system enhancing the driving dynamics of the vehicle.
While Audi updated the Q2 in the international market with new exterior styling the teaser and the pictures on the Audi official website confirm that the Q2 in India will be the pre-facelift model. On the outside, the Audi Q2 features robust styling and comes with a single-frame grille with trough-style air vents, chunky double barrel headlamp units, silver skid plate, silver accented wing-style air dam, a wide black finished lower air intake with a mesh grille, premium gloss black finish cladding on the doors and rounded wheel arches, multi-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, squarish combination LED tail lamps with double ticks and a wide tailgate.
On the inside, the Audi Q2 comes with a 25.4 cms MMI monitor as standard, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch is optional which also comes with a touchpad on the central control element, standard analogue instruments, optional fully digital Audi virtual cockpit and iOS and Android operating systems integrated via Audi smartphone interface. It also features latest-generation telematics, rounded turbine-style air conditioning vents, rotary air-conditioning controls, flat-bottomed steering wheel with controls, a rounded golf-ball style gear selector on the central tunnel, etc.
The Audi Q2 crossover SUV will rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, Mini Countryman and the Volvo XC40 in the Indian market.
