The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 was earlier seen in plastic robes probably being transported before its launch which is due on 20th May. And now, an image of its engine specification sheet has surfaced the internet along with the products digital image, which gives us an idea about the brand’s much-awaited return in the quarter-litre segment.
According to the spied spec sheet image, the engine on the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is an air/oil cooled, 249cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC motor that produces 26.5 PS of power @ 9000 RPM and 22.6 Nm of torque @ 7500 RPM mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel delivery system on the bike is through an electronic fuel injection system and has an electric starter.
The dimensions of the bikes measure at 2010mm in length, 740mm in width, 1035mm in height and a wheelbase of 1345mm. The bike has a ground clearance of 165mm and a seat height of 800mm. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres and the motorcycle weighs 161 kg (kerb). The front suspension on the motorcycle is an oil-dampened coil-spring telescopic right-side-up fork and a mono suspension on swingarm on the rear. The brakes are hydraulic discs on the front and rear wheels with a dual-channel ABS system. The wheels are 17-inch cast aluminium alloy and are equipped with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear, radial tubeless tyres.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is expected to sport all-LED headlights and tail lights and a fully digital instrument console. The bike is expected to have a dual tipped exhaust pipe and a semi step-up seat. Suzuki is also expected to bring the naked street-fighter version of the motorcycle with the same underpinnings soon.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is expected be priced around INR 1.50 lakh.
