Suzuki Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. has introduced the all-new Gixxer in India at a price of INR 1,00,212 ex-showroom, Delhi. The all-new Gixxer is a naked streetfighter motorcycle targeted towards the young audiences and daily motorcycle commuters alike. The new addition will further strengthen the company’s entry-level motorcycle segment.
The all-new Gixxer is powered by a fuel-injected, 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve SOHC engine with Suzuki Eco-Performance dubbed as SEP technology producing 14.1 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of the mechanical hardware the bike gets oil dampened and spring loaded telescopic forks on the front while the rear gets a swingarm type monoshock. The new Suzuki Gixxer gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels equipped with ABS (Antilock Braking System). The bike also gets 17-inch alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres.
In terms of styling, the all-new Gixxer features a crouched silhouette with a low slung LED headlight and taillight, muscular tank with sharp tank shrouds and a sleek tail section. Additionally the Gixxer gets a fully digital instruments console, split type seat, rear tyre hugger, twin barrel exhaust ends caps and optional accessories like knuckle guards, tank graphics, tank protectors, skid plate, leg guard, seat cover and a DC charging socket.

In terms of competition, the all-new Suzuki Gixxer will be pinned against the Yamaha FZ-S, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R among others in the 150 cc segment.
