In response to the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Renault has launched the 2019 Kwid facelift at a super attractive price tag starting from iNR 2.83 lakh ex-showroom. The Renault Kwid with this update is by far the best looking A-segment hatchback to be on sale. So far, Renault has had more than 3 lakh customers for the Kwid and this hatchback has provided the French manufacturer a good grip in the Indian market after the success of the Duster SUV.
The Renault Kwid is a budget hatchback with SUV-like design traits which makes it a very good looking small crossover. It was the first such car in the segment, and still remains the best looking model.

The 2019 Renault Kwid continues with the same engine options which includes a 0.8L & 1.0L SCe Smart Control Efficiency motor, both of which have a 3-cylinder layout. The 799cc, DOHC motor produces 54 PS of power @ 5678 RPM and 72 Nm of torque @ 4386 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The 999cc motor produces 68 PS of power @ 5500 RPM and 91 Nm of torque @ 4250 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The Kwid also comes with an Easy-R AMT automatic gearbox which allows for a relaxed 2-pedal drive with the clutch control happening in an automatic fashion.
