The all-new Wagon R from Maruti Suzuki is all set for a market debut. This popular hatchback in its latest avatar will bring in more customers to Maruti Suzuki showrooms for sure, as it tries to become more upmarket than before. Pricing is expected to be marginally higher on the top trims compared to the outgoing Wagon R.
The new Wagon R will be available in a total of 7 variants. LXi, VXi & ZXi and AMT being offered only on the VXi & ZXi trims. There’s also 2 engine options which adds to the variant list.
Powering the Wagon R will be a 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol motor producing 67 BHP of power @ 5500 RPM and 90 Nm of torque @ 3500 RPM. The top trims will get a 1.2L, 4-cylinder motor producing 82 BHP of power @ 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of torque @ 4200 RPM. 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options are available.
The Wagon R measures 3655 mm in length, 1620 mm in width, 1675 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2435 mm. Fuel tank capacity is 32L. Maruti Suzuki will be launching the new Wagon R in a total of 6 colour options.
