2019 Ducati Scrambler models launched in India starting at INR 7.89 lakh

Italian motorcycle brand Ducati has taken the covers off its new Scrambler Icon, Full Throttle, Café Racer and Desert Sled on 26th April 2019. The 2019 updated versions of the Ducati Scrambler have seen a lot of technical as well as cosmetic upgrades.

Starting with the engine the 2019 Ducati Scrambler is powered by an air-cooled, 803cc, L-Twin, Desmodromic, 2-valves per cylinder motor producing 73 HP of power @ 8250 RPM and 67 Nm of torque @ 5750 RPM coupled to a 6-speed transmission and a hydraulically controlled slipper assist wet multi-plate clutch.

The Scrambler gets more muscular side panels made with aluminium and matches the teardrop-shaped steel tank. The engine crankcase is painted in black and the fins on the cylinder heads are brush finished. The headlight is an all-new design with LED daytime running lights, turn indicator lamps are LED and come with an auto-off function. The switchgear is ergonomically designed for the rider to scroll information on the LCD instrument console. The instrument console now displays gear position and fuel level.

The Ducati Scrambler now features a new flat seat, a wide handlebar and the suspension set up is tweaked along with the Pirelli 60 MT RS tyres. The most important technical feature that the Ducati Scrambler gets is a new Bosch Cornering ABS which is a very important safety feature. The clutch is now hydraulically controlled with an adjustable lever.

The Ducati multimedia system can connect your mobile phone so you can easily answer calls on the go and also listen to your favourite tracks. The multimedia system can also be used to pair a rider to a pillion intercom system.

The Ducati Scrambler Icon is available in two colour options an ‘Atomic Tangerine’, a new paint scheme with black frame, black seat and grey rims and a ‘62 Yellow’, with black frame, black seat and grey rims

The Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle is available in a two-tone black and yellow tank with a white stripe and logo. The Full Throttle comes with a passenger seat cover mirroring the tank and a side mounted number plate bracket. It also features a road legal Termignoni dual-pipe exhaust.

The Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer has Silver Ice Matt graphics with a blue frame and has 17-inch spoked wheels. The Cafe Racer gets aluminium bar end mirrors and a dual tailpipes exhaust, nose fairing and a stubby mudguard. It also features a number ‘54’ on a laterally placed holder in honour of Bruno Spiaggiari – the former Italian Grand Prix racer from the 60’s who rode the legendary Ducati 125GP Desmo.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled comes with a red frame, a new seat, a matching seat stitching in red and 19-inch spoked wheels with black rims. The Desert Sled comes with a off-road mode where the rider can switch off the ABS for off-road riding and the bike comes with Pirelli SCORPION RALLY tyres. It gets a headlight guard and engine skid plate and specially designed high mudguards.

Bookings are now open across all Ducati showrooms and deliveries will begin by the end of May 2019. The price of the Ducati Scrambler range is as follows:-

  • Ducati Scrambler Icon – INR 7.89 lakh
  • Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle – INR 8.92 lakh
  • Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer – INR 9.78 lakh
  • Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled – INR  9.93 lakh
