The BMW 3-Series, it’s quite a car to look at, and even to drive. The new-generation of the 3, the G20 series has now arrived in India. While the launch is still a few months away, these first units of the BMW G20 3-Series could be training cars for the service team. This is an all-new model, and is replacing the current 3-Series worldwide.
Just like every other recent BMW product, the new 3-Series also gets a radical design change. Apart from a few signature BMW elements, quite a few design changes are generating polarising opinions. Nevertheless, the G20 3-Series is still a good looking luxury sedan and will rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A3, Volvo S60 and the likes.
Twin-pot LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, 17″ rims, plenty of chrome accents, more room on the inside, all digital instrument console, and more will keep the new 3-Series at par with competition. Powering the BMW 3-Series will be a 2.0L turbo petrol motor producing 258 HP and 400 Nm in the 330i variant and a 2.0L diesel motor which is also turbocharged producing 190 HP and 400 Nm. Engines will come matched to a 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The new 3-Series will also be sold via CKD kits in India, assembled at the BMW plant in Chennai.
