2016 KTM Duke 200 & 390 facelift spotted testing

After a stunning sales performance not just in India, but globally, KTM has started working on a facelift model of the Duke 125, Duke 200 and Duke 390. These models are expected to hit the streets in India by 2016 and could be officially revealed at the 2015 EICMA show in Milan.

Bajaj manufactures all of these three motorcycles for export markets, while India misses out on the Duke 125.

These spyshots clicked in Europe give away the following information on the changes:

  • May be minor tweaks to the engine
  • Minor detailing change to the bikini fairing
  • Protruding tank cowls
  • New rear subframe to meet crash resistance
  • Revised rear number plate mount
  • Revised rear-set rider foot pegs
  • Side mounted exhaust on the Duke 390 (For emissions testing only)

A minor facelift could help the bikes look fresh amongst new competition.

Pricing of the facelift models is expected to remain almost identical, give or take 1-2%.
