Yamaha will globally unveil the 2015 litre-class sportsbike, the YZF-R1 on 3rd November 2014 at the EICMA show.
Yamaha has released a teaser video and the company dubbs their development as ‘Level Z’.
Kawasaki recently revealed the supercharged H2 motorcycle, and similarly, Yamaha will also launch the R1 in two states of tune. One street spec and the other built for the track. The race spec R1 is expected to churn out power figures around the 230 BHP mark. Expect slightly lower power figures on the street spec version and some other road legal accessories as well.
As of now, we know that the R1 will come with a single sided swingarm, more power, and a completely new body style. More details will be available post November 3rd.
