When we attended a bloggers meet early this year, we were informed that Harley-Davidson will launch the Street 750 motorcycle this year, and the Street 500 in 2015. Harley-Davidson has however informed us today that the company has no plans of launching the Street 500 yet.
Not that the launch in unlikely, the brand hasn’t decided when will it finally make it to the locals markets where it is being manufactured. Harley-Davidson manufactures both, the Street 750 and the Street 500 at their facility in Haryana, and export it to international markets.
Powering the Street 500 will be a 492cc, liquid-cooled, Revolution X, V-Twin petrol motor producing 40 Nm of peak torque @ 3,500 RPM.
Styling will remain identical to the bigger Street 750 with an all-black look. The bike will sport a small bikini fairing headlamp, alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes, 2×1 exhaust pipe in black, small speedometer with a digital display, big radiator etc.
We will now have to wait for an official statement from the company regarding their launch plans for the smallest Harley-Davidson yet.
