2015 BMW X5 M & X6 M revealed

BMW has revealed the 2015 X5 M and X6 M which will be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show. Out of these two, the X6 M is slated for launch here in India sometime next year.

Styling features on both the performance SUVs includes new front and rear bumpers, larger air intakes, rear spoiler, chrome finished quad-exhaust pipes, 20″ alloy wheels (21″ optional), BMW M steering wheel with paddle shifts, sports seats, new instrument cluster, updated upholstery and much more in terms of equipment and safety features.

Powering both the cars is a xDrive all-wheel drive system with a 4.4L, V8, turbocharged petrol engine producing 567 BHP of power @ 6,000-6,500 RPM and 750 Nm of torque @ 2,200-5,000 RPM. Engine is mated to an 8-speed, M Steptronic DCT gearbox. 0-100 kmph stint can be achieved in 4.2 seconds and both the cars have an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. Fuel efficiency numbers are rated at 11.1 litres / 100 km. The same engine is found on the M5 and M6 Gran Coupe in India.
