As a part of Mitsubishi’s ‘New Stage 2016’ strategy, the company is planning to launch two all-new SUVs in India next year. The company now wants to strengthen their position in the Indian market and will only focus on SUVs at the moment.
One of the two new SUVs is expected to be priced below the Pajero Sport, while the other one could be a bit more expensive. For the next 2-3 years, Mitsubishi will only focus on bringing in SUVs to India considering how popular they are over D1 & D2 segment sedans.
Mitsubishi also plans to enter the passenger car markets after 2-3 years, but there are not details about this yet.
Also in the pipeline is the dealer level expansion to ensure better availability of products across the country. Currently, they have a dealer network of 31 which will be expanded to 48 before the end of this financial year.
