Studds launches Thunder D6 Decor Helmet for INR 1,795

Studds Accessories Ltd., the world largest two-wheeler helmet manufacturer (in terms of volumes sold in a year) has launched a new helmet named ‘Thunder D6 Decor Helmet’.

The helmet company claims that this helmet is designed to give an aerodynamic advantage to the rider with added features like mirror visor, higher impact outer shell, UV resistant paint, EPS, regulated density, dynamic ventilation system with vents on the top and back, quick release visor, chin strap and hypoallergenic liner.

Studds is offering the Thunder D6 Decor Helmet with 8 colour options; a base of matte black – Orange, Yellow, Red, Blue and a base of black – Orange, White, Yellow and Red. The helmet is finished with a UV resistant coating which protects the paint of the helmet in the long run and gives a very subtle finish. The helmet will come in three basic sizes- Medium (570MM), Large(580MM) and Extra Large(600MM) so that riders of various head size and shape can find the best fit, as the fitment of the helmet is very crucial to protect the head in case of accidents.

The aerodynamically shaped helmet is priced at INR 1795. For the comfort of the rider, Studds has provided soft inner padding with good quality fabric. To counter the growth of allergies and infections due to excessive sweat and wetness during the rainy season, Studds has provided a hypoallergenic lining as well. The vents also help in maintaining good ventilation, especially during the summer season by increasing the airflow.

Studd has two brands under its portfolio; Studds and SMK helmets and serves around 40 plus countries across the globe. Currently in India, Studds has about 30% of the market share and plans to make it 40% by the next 3 years. India is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and Studds is taking all the necessary steps to attract more customers. In fact, recently Studds set up Asia’s largest helmet manufacturing plant in Faridabad, Haryana which measures around 5.5 acres with an investment of INR 200 crores.
