Skoda announces Compact Workshops for non-metro locations

Skoda has announced a new Compact Workshop concept, especially for non-metro locations in India. Through the new Compact Workshop concept, Skoda will enhance the customer service experience to a new level. Skoda has announced that the brand will open 30 new compact workshops across the country by the end of 2021.

Skoda ‘Compact Workshops’

Skoda aims to expand its service touchpoint using the new Compact Workshop concept. The brand has also revealed that all sales branches in non-metro locations will have a compact workshop. These compact workshops will have a minimum of two service bays. The Compact Workshop concept is in line with Skoda India’s customer-centric strategy.

Skoda Compact Workshop – Quality

Skoda’s new Compact Workshops will be connected to the main dealership to maintain and standardise quality. The Skoda Compact Workshops will also start operations in some new markets. With successful launches this year, the expansion of service touchpoints around the country will boost confidence in the customer to purchase Skoda cars without having the anxiety of an untimely breakdown.

Skoda Compact Workshop – Operations

The Skoda Compact Workshops will offer services such as periodic maintenance services and general repairs. These services will also include inspection services, brake oil, ATF, brake pad replacement, brake disc, and coolant replacement. The Compact Workshops will also offer other minor repairs viz replacing bulbs, wiper blades, car detailing and accessories. The brand also offers its customers fitments that do not require special tool can be carried out at the compact workshop. Skoda will carry out the repairs at the main workshop if the vehicle needs significant repairs, depending on the customer’s request.

Skoda’s Network

Skoda has grown its network presence in the Indian market by 25% with the launch of the Kushaq. The Kushaq launch was a keystone in the brand’s present network in India. After the launch of the Kushaq, Skoda is now present in more than 100 cities across India, with more than 170 customer touchpoints. This includes both sales and after-sales.
