Skoda has recently achieved a new milestone of producing a total of 1,00,000 third generation Superb sedans from the total of 8,50,000 Superb’s built from the day this nameplate came into existence. The new Superb is currently on sale in India and rivals the likes of Toyota Camry in the D2 segment.
Based on the latest MQB platform, the new Superb was unveiled globally in 2015, while the Indian launch was witnessed in February 2016.
Equipped with a 2.0L, TDI diesel motor that is capable of producing 177 PS and 350 NM of torque, the Superb is also offered along with a 1.8L, TFSI petrol motor that produces 180 PS and 320 NM of torque.
The latest generation Superb is one of the most well equipped cars in the segment and the amount of space it offers simply outruns the competition and even luxury sedans from a segment above.
Skoda is all set to launch their newest offering that is also based on the MQB platform, the Kodiaq SUV, in India later in 2017.
