Just a couple of days back, Kia officially launched the Seltros facelift in India. Offered in Tech Line, GT Line and X Line variants, the SUV starts from INR 10,89,900. New for 2023 Seltos Facelift is the Level 2 ADAS features offered with the GT Line and X Line variants. Offered with a vast powertrain options to choose from, the new Seltos offers something for everyone. Kia is offering a choice of three engines and five gearbox options with the Seltos. Now, let us take a look at the review of this SUV.
MY23 Kia Seltos : An Overview
The 2023 Seltos facelift now comes with an updated exterior. The SUV features new front bumper, updated fog lamp inserts and new design headlamps. Further, there are now all-LED headlight units with integrated LED DRLs that extend into the grille. The Korean carmaker now offers larger 18-inch alloys finished in a dual tone design on the MY23 Seltos. These are the same rims as the international-spec Seltos. The rear too has been revamped for the facelift. The 2023 Seltos now comes with sequential turn signals, dual tip exhaust and a lightbar that connects both the tail lamps. The rear bumper design too has been updated and now houses the reversing lamp.
New for the interiors, there are now different interior themes based on the variant line. The Seltos now gets dual 10.25-inch screens. One of them is an infotainment screen while the other is the digital driver infotainment screen. Other updates on the inside include new HVAC controls, slim AC vents, and revised audio controls. The My23 Seltos also gets a dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and an 8-inch head-up display amongst others. Music is played through the Bose 8-speaker system while the cabin also comes with mood lamps.
Safety Features of the Kia Seltos
Kia is now offering ADAS tech on GT Line and X Line. The ADAS suite comes with 17 autonomous features. These include the likes of forward collision avoidance (FCA), lane keep assist and smart cruise control with Stop & Go. Other standard safety features include 6 airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, ESC and VSM to name a few.
Engine options on the 2023 Kia Seltos
There are three engine options offered with the new Kia Seltos. These include a 1.5-litre NA petrol good for 115 HP and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol rated at 160 HP and 253 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel good for 115 HP / 250 Nm. Customers can choose amongst these engines which are offered with multiple transmission. They include a CVT, 6-speed IMT, 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
