Moto Morini has made waves at the EICMA 2023 by unveiling a slew of innovative motorcycles, with the highly anticipated X-Cape 1200 standing out as a flagship model. Serving as the larger counterpart to the X-Cape 650 available in India, the X-Cape 1200 exhibits a design language that is both distinctive and reminiscent of Dakar rally motorcycles. Its aesthetic is further accentuated by an aggressive front end, drawing parallels to the iconic supervillains of the Marvel universe.

What Is The Moto Morini X-Cape 1200?

Distinguishing itself with a robust build, the adventure motorcycle boasts 19/17-inch spoke wheels clad in dual-purpose Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires. A generously proportioned, upswept exhaust canister further enhances the imposing presence. Under the hood, the X-Cape 1200 is propelled by a potent 1187cc Corsa Corta Evo V2 engine, capable of delivering an impressive 125bhp. This powerhouse is seamlessly integrated into a trellis frame crafted from steel and aluminium, ensuring a balance of strength and agility.

Key Features On Offer

The feature-rich X-Cape 1200 caters to the modern rider’s needs, offering amenities such as cruise control and a cutting-edge seven-inch TFT display complete with integrated navigation capabilities. Weighing in at approximately 250kg, the motorcycle is equipped to tackle diverse terrains, thanks to its front suspension providing 170mm of travel and the rear offering 160mm of travel.

India Launch And The Road Ahead

Given Moto Morini’s assertive stance in expanding its global footprint, the launch of the X-Cape 1200 in India is highly anticipated. With the brand’s commitment to an aggressive market approach, enthusiasts can reasonably expect the X-Cape 1200 to make its debut in the Indian market sometime in 2024. This move underscores Moto Morini’s dedication to catering to the discerning Indian audience and aligns with the brand’s overarching strategy of establishing a formidable presence in international markets.
