Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo edition launch confirmed for India

Mercedes-Benz has seen a lot of potential in the V-Class luxury MPV and the German brand is now all set to introduce a more outdoor and adventure friendly Marco Polo edition for our market. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that at the 15th Auto Expo in India next month, the V-Class Marco Polo edition would be officially launched and this car will offer actual living space on wheels. The V-Class is quite a successful product in the van segment for the premium car buyers, and the brand had recently launched the V-Class Elite in November, 2019.

When launched, the V-Class Marco Polo edition would become the first such luxury camper vehicle to go on sale in India. It will be more like a mobile mini home for buyers allowing them to explore more, and still be comfortable. This variant would be the ideal road-trip companion and most definitely be the most expensive trim in the V-Class lineup. The rear cabin can be converted in a lounge / bedroom for two, so that the driver and the passenger can take a nap. The roof section pops open, allowing for occupants to stand and move around inside the cabin. There will be enough light coming through to not make one claustrophobic inside the Marco Polo edition.

This model will be launched officially on 6th of February, 2020.

Abroad, the V-Class Marco Polo edition comes with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor producing 163 HP of power in the V220d variant and 239 HP of power in the V300d variant matched to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The car comes with AWD system and a seating capacity of 4 occupants in normal mode.
