After a long wait, Lamborghini have finally revealed the Urus which will go on sale globally in the coming weeks. This, as the brand calls it is a Super-SUV and will eventually also arrive in Indian showrooms. Also, the brand expects the Urus to help sales increase significantly thanks to its SUV DNA.

While the Urus is expected to cost under INR 2 crore (converted price) in markets abroad, expect pricing here in India to be well over INR 3 crores. Although an SUV, the Urus can be used more of a daily drive, by those who can afford of course, especially since it doesn’t suffer from the limitations of a supercar.

Powering the Urus will be a front-mounted, 4.0L, twin-turbocharged motor with 4WD which can help it sprint to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and will have a top whack of 306 kmph. The motor produces 650 HP of power and 850 Nm of torque. Engine is matched to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Urus also comes with rear-wheel steering system, which will make this a very agile SUV. The Urus is based on the Volkswagen MLB Evo platform.

The Urus will be manufactured at a new facility in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The styling is typical of a Lamborghini, so the Urus will be easy to spot. Sharp & edgy design shall please many, unlike the questionable looks of the likes of Bentley Bentayga.

The Urus measures 5,112 mm in length, 2,106 mm in width, 1,638 mm in height, 3,003 mm in wheelbase and has a kerb weight of under 2,200 kg. The ground clearance varies thanks to the adaptive air suspension between 158 mm to 248 mm.

This luxury SUV is a 4-seater product, and comes with plenty of hexagonal elements inside along with all the top creature comforts.
