Maruti Suzuki sold 1,68,047 cars in October 2023

Maruti Suzuki, the leading car brand in India, has been undergoing a transformative journey in recent years, reinvigorating its product portfolio and expanding into new segments. In October 2023, Maruti Suzuki reached a milestone by selling 199,217 vehicles, marking its best-ever monthly sales with an impressive year-on-year growth of nearly 19 per cent. This achievement surpasses the previous best figure of 189,082 sales recorded in August 2023.

Domestic Sales Figure

Maruti Suzuki India’s domestic sales figures stood at 171,941 units in October 2023, representing a substantial 20 per cent growth over the corresponding period in the previous year. Simultaneously, the company’s sales to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) reached 5,325 units. Furthermore, the export sales segment exhibited considerable strength, with 21,951 units sold, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 7.3 per cent.

To gain deeper insights into the sales distribution, Maruti Suzuki also provided a segment-wise breakdown of the figures. As anticipated, the majority of contributions came from the hatchback segment. Entry-level offerings like the Alto and S-Presso collectively contributed 14,568 units to the sales tally. The compact segment, which includes popular models like the Celerio, WagonR, Ignis, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Tour S, demonstrated robust performance, accounting for a significant portion of the sales with a total of 80,662 units.

Maruti Suzuki’s continued success is not only attributed to its wide range of offerings but also to its ability to adapt to evolving consumer preferences and market dynamics.
