Mahindra launches Treo Zor 3-wheeler cargo EV for INR 2.73 lakh

Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd, has announced that the brand has launched a new electric 3-wheeler cargo model in the Indian market at the starting price of 2.73 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi, net of FAME 2 and state subsidies. The electric three-wheeler is called Treo Zor and is based on Mahindra Electric’s Treo Electric Vehicle platform. The model is targeted toward last-mile delivery companies and is available in Pickup, Delivery Van and Flat Bed as per business requirements. 

The Treo Zor features a dust & water-resistant IP67-rated 8kW electric drive motor that provides 42 Nm of torque that can pull a payload of 550 kgs and a certified driving range of 125 km. The Treo Zor can be charged using a 15A socket and the lithium-ion battery pack comes with a 1.50 lakh km battery-life. The Treo Zor also comes with a longest-in-industry wheelbase of 2216 mm providing safety, stability and comfort. The Treo Zor also comes with the largest-in-industry tyres of 30.48 cm, when compared with diesel & electric cargo 3 wheelers. Also, the Treo Zor features a best-in-class tray-loading height of 675 mm. 

On the inside, the Treo Zor features an ergonomically designed driver cabin & seat and the noiseless & vibration-free clutchless automatic transmission only adds to the driver’s comfort improving the turn around time, increasing the savings for the fleet operator. The Treo Zor also features cloud-based connectivity to remotely monitor vehicle range, speed, location improving the efficiency of the fleet management. 

The Treo Zor is equipped with modular SMC panels that are dent resistant, rust-free, durable easy to repair and easy to replace. Other features include Driving modes – FNR (Forward, Neutral, Reverse), Economy and boost mode, a telematics unit along with GPS integration, a lockable glovebox, 12V DC charging socket, hazard indicators and reverse buzzer for safety. 

The Treo Zor is offered with a 3 years/80,000 km warranty as standard and the brand has employed a service network of 140+ dealerships across the country to enable the customer to obtain convenient after-sales service. The brand has also announced that the Treo Zor will be available at Mahindra small commercial vehicle dealerships in select cities across India starting December 2020.
