Mahindra launches 2018 XUV500 facelift for INR 12.32 lakh

Mahindra has launched the 2018 XUV500 facelift in India at prices starting from INR 12.32 lakh. The XUV was first launched in 2011, and is still getting mild refreshes before a major model change which is still some time away. The 2018 XUV500 will continue to be sold in petrol and diesel engine options. There are a total of 10 variants to choose from for the 2018 Mahindra XUV500.

The XUV500 with this facelift comes with a host of changes while retaining a familiar body style. The monocoque SUV from Mahindra, the XUV500 now powered by a 2.2L, mHawk, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor producing 155 HP of power and 360 Nm of torque while the 2.2L petrol motor produces 140 HP of power and a respectable 320 Nm of torque. With all four disc brakes, the XUV500 also comes with an optional AWD system. The diesel engine now makes use of a new 6th generation eVGT (electronically controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger) which improves low-end torque delivery. Mahindra claims to have worked on better NVH levels inside the cabin, and also, the suspension setup is tuned for a more plush ride now.

The new XUV500 will be available in 7 colors – New Crimson Red, New Mystic Copper, Pearl White, Volcano Black, Moon dust Silver, Opulent Purple and Lake Side Brown

All other features which were previously available, all have been carried over.

To enhance safety features, the XUV500 comes with 6-airbags, ESP, hill hold, hill descent control, emergency call system and ABS with EBD.
