At the Auto Expo last week, Mahindra showcased the KUV100 Xplorer Edition.
While the KUV100 is a very recent launch, don’t expect such limited edition models to hit the showrooms anytime soon.
The Xplorer edition included silver coloured body skirts all around the car, chunky side body moulding, gloss black roof, tail lamps with a smoked cover, silver hood ornaments, contrast seat stitching on the inside, etc. Xplorer badges were also seen all around.
Mechanicallly, the KUV100 Xplorer is similar to the regular KUV100 and shares the same 1.2L diesel and petrol 3-cylinder engines from Mahindra. These include a 1.2-litre G80 petrol unit that produces 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre D75 diesel unit that produces 77 BHP and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. ARAI has rated the fuel economy of the petrol and diesel models at 18.15 km/l and 25.32 km/l respectively.
