Kawasaki launches Vulcan S cruiser in India for INR 5.44 lakh

Kawasaki dealers have announced that the new Vulcan S is now available in India. Customers can now book the brands only cruiser currently on sale and deliveries will commence in February 2018. Kawasaki has priced the Vulcan S for INR 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom).

Just for some trivia, the Vulcan S is not the first cruiser by Kawasaki here in India. It was the Kawasaki Eliminator, sold in India along with Bajaj which was their first cruiser offering.

Powering the Vulcan S to hit the Indian streets is a 649cc, 4-stroke, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol motor producing 61 PS of power @ 7500 RPM and 63 Nm of torque @ 6600 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

ABS is available as standard.

The Vulcan S is built around a perimeter chassis and it measures 2,310 mm in length, 855 mm in width, 1,090 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 1,575 mm and ground clearance of 130 mm. The Vulcan S has a kerb weight of 235 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 14L along with the seat height measured at 705 mm.

The highlight of the Kawasaki Vulcan S is the custom-fit adjustability. Foot pegs position is adjustable with three positions available: STD, 25 mm (1”) forward, 25 mm (1”) back. (*Alternate shift linkage rods, sold separately, are necessary when changing the position from standard.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S rivals the Harley-Davidson Street 750 here in India.
