Hyundai Exter production begins in India, launch on July 10, 2023

Hyundai is all set to launch the all-new Exter SUV in the Indian market and the brand has officially rolled out the first unit from their plant in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. Series production has started well ahead of the official launch, so deliveries should start from the date of launch itself, or a day or two later. Hyundai Exter would be the brands most affordable SUV, slotting below the Venue, Creta, Alcazar & Tucson. Once launched, the Exter will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Fronx & Tata Punch.

1st Hyundai Exter in India

The very first Hyundai Exter SUV which has rolled out of the production line is painted in the signature launch colour in dual tone, sporting the Ranger Khaki & Black livery. This new paint scheme is going to be exclusive for the Exter in the Hyundai portfolio. Hyundai’s new Exter has been built with industry 4.0 level automation and manufactured using 700+ 4th generation robots along with the brands highly trained workforce. Hyundai claims to have used new & smart inspection methods in the production of the Exter to ensure top quality & durability, for the best customer satisfaction. The first Exter rolled out from the Hyundai plant near Chennai, in Sriperumbudur on 23rd June 2023.

Hyundai Exter – What to Expect?

With the launch of the Exter, Hyundai is positioning themselves as a full range SUV manufacturing brand in India. Since the SUV body style is in huge demand, a product in the lower price bracket ensures that the SUV flavour is more accessible to the masses. Hyundai’s Exter will feature all the latest advancements from Hyundai in terms of design, features, powertrain & safety.

Hyundai Exter will come with a parametric front grille, H-shaped LED DRLs, projector headlamp, H shaped tail lamp, healthy dose of body cladding, dual tone alloy wheels, roof rails, bumper skid plates, etc. 6 airbags would be standard on all trims along with 26 other safety features for peace of mind. The SUV will also feature a dash cam with dual cameras, electric sunroof, 60+ connected car features thanks to the Hyundai Bluelink, coloured digitial speedometer cluster, large touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, etc.

Hyundai will officially launch the new Exter in India on 10th of July, 2023.
