While the official launch date is not out yet, Maruti Suzuki has revealed that the bookings are now open for the 2019 Baleno facelift. The Baleno has been a huge success for the brand, retailing from the premium Nexa dealerships. The 2019 Baleno facelift can now be booked online or at Nexa dealers for a booking amount of INR 11,000.
The most successful premium hatchback, the Baleno rivals the likes of Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz. Pricing is expected to be revised for the 2019 model, as there will be a few feature additions.
Since launch, the Baleno has been the car to record the fastest 5 lakh sales milestone. It showed a growth of 14% in the first nine months of the FY 2018-19. Total sales have already crossed 5.2 lakhs for the Baleno hatchback.
For 2019, the additional features on the Baleno facelift will include:
- Speed alert system
- co-driver seat belt reminder
- Rear parking sensors
- Standard kit – Dual airbags, ISOFIX, ABS with EBD & seat belt with pre-tensioner
The Baleno will continue to be sold with petrol and diesel engine options. The familiar 1.2L petrol and 1.3L diesel engines will continue, but for 2019, expect the mileage figures to be improved.
