MY24 Yezdi Adventure 350 spotted road testing, updated engine

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Jawa Yezdi motorcycles upgraded its Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber recently, with some noteworthy engine updates. Now, the brand could be upgrading the Yezdi Adventure in India. According to reports, the Yezdi Adventure is also likely to receive similar updates. Sources reveal that the new Yezdi Adventure is likely to be christened with a ‘350’ suffix and could be launched in a couple of months from now.

Yezdi Adventure 350 – Changes?

The Yezdi Adventure 350 is likely to receive mechanical updates as well as changes to its colour theme. According to spy shots, the Yezdi Adventure 350 is likely to come with a rerouted exhaust from its front manifold. Currently, the Yezdi Adventure comes with the exhaust routed from the side of the engine.

On the updated version, the exhaust is likely to go under the engine. This will also help in directing hot air from the bend pipe away from the rider’s right foot. Furthermore, the catalytic converter is likely to be placed behind the engine to protect it from stone chips. Currently it is unknown if the ground clearance number has changed due to the different routing of the exhaust. Reports also reveal that the coolant expansion tank has also been moved behind the airbox.

Jawa Yezdi – Engine Refinement

Recently, Jawa Yezdi revealed that the brand has made some substantial refinements to the 334cc, liquid-cooled engine on the Jawa Perak. The Yezdi Adventure also uses the same engine and may receive the same updates. This is likely to include micro geometry modifications to the gear tooth. This means that the updated engine comes with superior meshing quality reducing the noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. The engine also features a new crankshaft, a larger throttle body diameter of 38mm, and a patented breather canopy that minimizes oil consumption and emissions.
