Bajaj Pulsar 220F gets new ‘Volcanic Red’ paint option

Some motorcycle brands live forever, in customer memories as well as in showrooms. The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is one such motorcycle. Bajaj Auto has now introduced a new ‘Volcanic Red’ paint scheme for the Pulsar 220F motorcycle. The bike has been priced at INR 1.07 lakh ex-showroom, and it comes with a single-channel ABS system. Apart from this, the Pulsar 220F comes in dual-tone red+black and blue+black paint options.

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a semi-faired motorcycle. Not an outright sportsbike, but it is more of a street friendly motorcycle also capable of high speed touring. The 2019 Bajaj Pulsar 220F Volcanic Red gets the new red paint on all the panels including the engine underbelly cowl, rim strips and a few contrast black decals to break the monotony. The side panels though are seen in black, just for cosmetic differentiation.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, DTSi motor producing 21 BHP of power and 19 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. We wish that the Pulsar 220F came with dual-channel ABS, but the safety feature works only on the front wheel disc brake. The bike rides on a telescopic front fork and dual gas charged shock absorbers at the back.

The semi-faired motorcycle has remained unchanged for nearly a decade, and comes with fairing mounted rear view mirrors, projector headlamps, pilot lamps, AHO, LED tail lamps, semi digital + analogue speedometer, clip-on handlebars, split & step-up seats, pillion grab rails and all other standard features.

The Bajaj Pulsar brand has found more than 1 crore buyers worldwide, and it is one motorcycle line-up which has so many variations in terms of engine capacity sold over the years, that many two-wheeler manufacturers do not even have had so many options in decades. The Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles have in many ways redefined the segments, and also offered higher performance always at a relatively lower price tag.
