Kia has launched the 2024 Sonet facelift at the starting price of INR 7.99 lakh ex-showroom. The brand is now accepting booking on the new Kia Sonet through Kia authorised dealerships as well as the official Kia India website. Interested parties can book the new Sonet facelift by putting down an amount of INR 25,000/-.
2024 Kia Sonet – Price and Variants and Maintenance
Kia is offering the 2024 Kia Sonet in 19 variants. This includes 3 petrol and 5 diesel manual variants, 3 petrol variants and 2 diesel variants with iMT gearboxes, 3 diesel automatic variants and 3 petrol variants with 7DCT gearboxes. This also includes a new Pewter Olive colour option.
The Smartstream G1.2 engine with 5-speed manual transmission starts at INR 7.99 lakh ex-showroom. The top-spec variant with the 1.2-litre engine goes upto INR 9.90 lakh ex-showroom. The Smartstream 1.0 TGDi engine with iMT gearbox starts at INR 10.49 lakh ex-showroom. The variant goes upto INR 13.39 lakh ex-showroom. The 7DCT gearbox model comes with a starting price of INR 12.29 lakh ex-showroom. The top-end variant goes upto INR 14.50 lakh ex-showroom. While the X-Line model is priced at INR 14.69 lakh ex-showroom.
The 1.5-litre CRDi VGT engine with 6-speed manual gearbox starts with a price tag of INR 9.79 lakh ex-showroom and goes upto INR 13.69 lakh ex-showroom. The diesel iMT version starts with a price tag of INR 12.60 lakh ex-showroom and goes upto INR 14.39 lakh ex-showroom. The diesel automatic transmission model comes with a price tag of INR 12.99 lakh ex-showroom and goes upto INR 15.50 lakh ex-showroom. The top-spec X-Line with diesel automatic transmission is prices at INR 15.69 lakh ex-showroom.
In terms of maintenance, Kia claims that the new Sonet offers the lowest maintenance cost in its segment. The maintenance cost claims to be 16% lower than the segment average for the petrol variant. Also, the diesel variant claims to have a 14% lower maintenance cost compared to the segment average.
2024 Kia Sonet – Engine Specifications
Powering the Kia Sonet is a 82 PS / 115 Nm 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox option. The SUV also comes with a 118 PS / 172 Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT options. The car also gets a 114 PS/250 Nm 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine with 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic gearbox options.
