Toyota has launched the BS6 emissions-compliant model of the Toyota Camry at the price of INR 37.88 Lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The BS4 predecessor was INR 93,000 cheaper than the 2020 Toyota Camry at INR 36.95 Lakh ex-showroom and the price hike is due to new components that make the 2020 Camry BS6 compliant and new financial year price revisions.
Powering the 2020 Toyota Camry is the BS6 compliant 4th generation Hybrid Electric 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol mill with 178 PS of power and 221 Nm of torque coupled to a 245V Nickel-Metal Hydride battery pack and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that produces 120 PS of power and 202 Nm of torque. The Hybrid Electric Vehicle makes a combined power output of 218 PS matched to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Sequential Shift and paddle shifters.
In terms of its exterior dimensions, the Toyota Camry Hybrid measures 4,885mm in length, 1,840mm in width, 1,455mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,825mm. The Camry features auto levelling Dusk-sensing LED Projector Headlamps, LED DRLs & Follow-me-Home function, front LED Fog lamps, an imposing front apron with multiple horizontal slats, chrome-accented embellishment at the front with Toyota badging in the centre, rounded wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, raised bonnet ridges, bold shoulder lines, chrome door handles, chrome window beltline and wraparound combination tail lamps.
On the interiors, the Toyota Camry features a multi-layered Y-design dashboard control mounted steering wheel, stone grain and metallic texture finish embellishments on the dashboard, soft leather upholstery, tilt and slide moonroof, 3-zone automatic climate control, Nanoe Ion generator for cabin freshness, Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold, Heads-Up Display, 10-way electric adjustable driver & passenger seat with lumbar support, wireless smartphone charger, rear armrest with touch-control switches for audio, rear recline, rear sun shade and air-con etc.
The 2020 Toyota Camry also features 9 SRS Airbags (Front Driver & Passenger, Front Side, Rear Side, Curtain Shield, Driver Knee), ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX and more.
