A smaller sibling to the Kawasaki Ninja H2, the product that you see above could be launched as the ‘Ninja R2’ around the end of 2016 or by early 2017.
Insider news from Kawasaki reveals that the Japanese manufacturer is keen on developing more affordable supercharged motorcycles in more mainstream engine capacities.
The Ninja R2 could be a middleweight superbike with engine capacity just a little over 800cc & will sport a 4-cylinder layout with forced induction. With a decent level of boost, the Ninja R2 could easily produce over 150 BHP of power.
There is no specific design theme, or feature list which is known at the moment. Although electronic aids would be extensive, they would be a little shorter compared to the Ninja H2.
Pricing however will be higher than a few litre-class models. But a considerable drop from the Ninja H2 pricing is obvious.
But, are motorcycle enthusiasts wanting forced induction superbikes?
