Fiat has launched the Abarth powered Punto Evo in India priced at Rs. 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Powering the Abarth Punto is a 1.4L, T-Jet, turbocharged petrol motor producing 145 BHP of power and 212 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Other mechanical changes on the Abarth version include a stiffer suspension setup, 20mm drop in ride height & all 4 disc brakes. 0-100 kmph is achieved in 8.8 seconds.
Despite the superior performance, the Abarth Punto can deliver a healthy 16.3 kmpl.
Exterior changes include Scorpion badges, contrast coloured grille, contrast coloured ORVM, chrome for fog lamp enclosure, Abarth decals on the side, Scorpion claw alloy wheels and 195/55/R16 Apollo tyres.
Inside, you get all-black upholstery, contrast stitching on the seats, Scorpion badge on the steering, leather wrapped steering & gear knob.
Safety features include dual front airbags with early crash sensors, ABS with EBD, 3-point ELR seatbelt with pre-tensioner & load limiter, fir prevention system.
