Skoda India is planning to enter the pre-owned car market in 2015.
Considering that the used car business is very vast and needs good preparation, Skoda will launch a few pilot projects in prime locations such as Mumbai & New Delhi.
The final brand strategy for Skoda’s used car business is yet to be decided. The brand expects that there will be a boost in sales through the used car section and exchange programs.
Skoda achieved sales of 15,500 units in 2014 and is aiming to cross the 17,000 units mark in 2015. As of now, Skoda hs 3 sedans & 1 SUV in their Indian line-up ranging from Rs. 7.5 lakh to Rs. 22 – 23 lakh (ex-showroom).
