1 million Land Rover Range Rover Sport SUVs sold in 15 years

Showcased as the Land Rover Range Stormer Concept which was put into production the very next year which we all know as the Range Rover Sport has now achieved a new 1 Million sales milestone. The popular SUV has taken a little over 15 years to achieve the 10 lakh sales milestone making it the best-selling SUV in the Land Rover portfolio. Jaguar Land Rover has also released a short video that commemorates the brand’s achievement. 

Milestone Achievements

The Range Rover Sport has achieved several milestones including and traversed on various landmarks such as the mad dash over the Brooklyn Bridge, the lap at the Nurburgring, traversing the Empty Quarter (Rub’ al Khali) sand desert in the middle east, conquering the Pikes Peak or climbing up the 45-degree angle staircase with 999 steps of Heaven’s Gate in Tianmen mountain of China, the Range Rover Sport has achieved all including winning over 1 Million hearts. 

Trim

Now in its MY2021 avatar, the British marquee unveiled the both Short Wheelbase (SWB), Long Wheelbase (LWB) versions and special editions of the Range Rover Sport in the Indian market, last year. The new MY2021 Range Rover Sport arrives in seven trims offered in petrol, diesel and supercharged petrol powertrain options. The Range Rover Sport is available in the S, SE, HSE options as well as the HSE Dynamic, Autobiography Dynamic, HSE Silver and HSE Dynamic Black variant options. 

Powertrain

The Range Rover Sport highlights new options on the exterior paint, new interior choices and the latest generation six-cylinder ‘Ingenium’ diesel powertrain equipped with a new 48V Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) electrified diesel technology which is available on the Range Rover Sport for the first time. The engine line-up includes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor with 300 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder MHEV diesel engine that makes 300 PS of power and 650 Nm.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport starts from INR 88.24 lakh to INR 1.51 Crore ex-showroom, India.
