Ducati’s Urban Mobility division today launched their most affordable two-wheeler ever. This is the company’s first-ever electric scooter, named Pro-I Evo. This scooter uses connected technology, and the best uses of this scooter are for short commutes like going to school or college. One of the main USPs of this product is that it is pretty lightweight and thus easy to carry in public transport or private cars. Ducati is using a 350W electric motor placed on the front wheel.

Other Details About The Scooter

Ducati also provides three riding modes, namely Eco, D, and S. In the Eco mode, the speed is limited to 6 kmph, close to human walking speed. In the D and S mode, the scooter has a speed limit of 20 kmph and 24 kmph, respectively. Interesting Ducati uses disc brakes both at the front and rear, and the equipped 8.5-inch wheels get inner air tubes.

The scooter also has a colour LED instrument panel on the handlebar. This system is accessible via a smartphone app that is available on Apple and Play Store. Just like a typical vehicle, this electric scooter also has tail lamps that enhance visibility at night. The scooter can carry a weight of up to 100 kgs. The equipped battery is a 36V 280Wh unit with a mileage of around 25 km under a single charge. The charging time as claimed by Ducati stands at about 3 to 5 hours.

Launch And Price Details

As it stands, Ducati is planning to launch this electric scooter in the next few weeks. The Pro-I Evo electric scooter will have a sticker price of USD 477, which translates to INR 35,000 thus, making it the most affordable Ducati ever. But sadly, this electric scooter won’t make it to the Indian market.
