Yamaha reveals BS6 FZ 25, prices announced for MT-15, Ray ZR 125 FI & Street Rally 125 FI

Yamaha is not participating at the Auto Expo 2020, but wants to ride the wave and have announced prices for their BS6 range of models which include the MT-15, Ray ZR 125 FI & Street Rally 125 FI. Apart from this, the brand has also revealed the 2020 BS6 compliant FZ 25 motorcycle which gets new colours and some equipment along with the engine update. There is no news yet on the Fazer 25 model, and we are not sure if it will continue after the BS6 deadline.

The BS6 model of the Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 153 kg. The bike comes with a dual-channel ABS setup and the updated motor produces 20.8 PS of peak power @ 8000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque @ 6000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 now gets features such as a negative LCD full digital speedometer cluster, LED DRLs, bi-function LED headlamp, new engine under cowl, side-stand with engine cut-off, new body colours and new body decals. The green and blue body colour options also get gold painted alloy wheels. The 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 also gets a larger front windscreen, revised headlamp design with mask effect and knuckle protectors. Pricing for the BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 is yet to be announced and the bike will be available for purchase from April 2020.

Yamaha has also taken this opportunity to announced prices of the previously unveiled MT-15, Ray ZR 125 FI & Street Rally 125 FI. All of these models are BS6 compliant.

Powering the 2020 Yamaha MT-15 is a 155cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve motor producing 18.5 PS of power @ 10000 RPM and 13.9 Nm of torque @ 8500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. With variable valve actuation, this Yamaha MT-15 is the most advanced 150cc class naked street bike on sale in India. Powering the Ray ZR 125 FI & Street Rally 125 FI is a 125cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve motor producing 8.2 PS of power and 9.7 Nm of torque matched to a conventonal V-belt automatic transmission, but the motor now benefits with fuel-injection.
