India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd has announced a new campaign dubbed as ‘Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care’ which has a focus to improve two-wheeler maintenance along with ownership experience. The brand claims that in this Season 2 of The Call of the Blue, the brand will introduce this new campaign from October 2019 for new and existing two-wheeler customers in the domestic market. Also, this ‘Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care’ is available on all products on sale in India, starting from scooters to big bikes.
With this new initiative, Yamaha will introduce a timed-based two-wheeler servicing which claims to have a given scooter or motorcycle ready in just 90 minutes. Yamaha will also deploy trained service technicians for service quality. Service care initiative will involve roadside assitance, pick & drop service, annual maintenance contracts (AMC) and extended warranty. All of this will ensure that Yamaha customers can have their two-wheelers maintained easily and as a result, a hassle free ownership experience.
Yamaha is all set to launch the new & improved YZF-R3 with a BSVI engine in December 2019. This bike comes with not just an update to the engine to meet the upcoming emission norms, but the bike will also have plenty of cosmetic changes and hardware improvements to make it much more worthy of the price tag it quotes.
Yamaha is India has a very interesting portfolio with the YZF-R15 V3, MT-15, FZ-25, Fazer 25, FZ-S & FZ, Saluto, Cygnus Ray ZR, Fascino, Cygnus Alpha, MT-09 and the flagship YZF-R1. Yamaha however has seen more success in the Indian market in the premium commuter and entry-level sportsbike segment. The commuter models and scooters are far from being the best in terms of the sales race, and even the high end motorcycles thanks to their high price tag are not as common on the streets compared to other Japanese rival brands.
