Yamaha’s strategy is to offer optimal value to enthusiasts at an aggressive price point. This is applicable with 2023 versions of R15, MT-15, FZ-S and FZ-X as well. We understand that these four motorcycles get a different set of updates. The overall aim is at improving their street presence, convenience and safety aspects.

Mechanicals Retained, No changes To The Engines

Noteworthy to mention that the performance numbers remain unchanged. This is because the motorcycle continues with the same engines as earlier. New 2023 Yamaha R15, MT-15, FZ-S and FZ-X now come with OBD-2 compliance, which comes into effect from April 01, 2023. These motorcycles will be fitted with an on-board diagnostic system that can monitor and report emissions in real-time. Traction control system is now standard across the aforementioned models.

Key Highlights Of 2023 R15 V4

The most notable update for Yamaha R15 is LED turn signals and thus with this, R15 now has an all-LED lighting setup. The existing version comes with LED bi-functional headlight, LED position lights and LED brake / tail light.

Yamaha R15 variant now features an updated new TFT instrument console. Using this the rider can toggle through a range of information. The resolution of the unit is now much better while the layout and placement of indicators has also changed. Further, with the switchgear now, it is easy to access various functions of the instrument screen.

Other cosmetic enhancements for R15 is the inclusion a new dual-tone colour theme of matte black and gold. The motorcycle now features golden highlights against a black and light grey body panelling. Overall look and feel is much sportier with golden USD forks and golden shaded wheels. The new colour for R15 V4 is an addition to the existing colour options of dark knight, metallic red and racing blue.
