Yamaha launches new Metallic Black Aerox 155 at INR 1,29,000

Yamaha has launched a new Metallic Black colour option in the new Aerox 155 Scooter. The Japanese manufacturer has priced the scooter at INR 1.29 lakh ex-showroom. The maxi-sports scooter recently debuted in the Indian market in two colours – Racing Blue and Vermilion Grey. The price of both the colours is also set to INR 1.29 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to this, Yamaha also retails the popular maxi-scooter in a limited edition Yamaha Monster MotoGP limited edition, which comes with a price tag of INR 1.30 lakh ex-showroom. This means that the Yamaha Aerox 155 is now available in four colour options in the Indian market.

Yamaha Aerox 155 – New Colour and Design Highlights

Yamaha has revealed that the new Aerox 155 will come with a new Metallic Black colour option. The new colour is part of the imposing front apron of the motorcycle and the sleek tail section. The side panels on the Aerox are also finished in the new Metallic Black shade. In contrast with the new black, the brand has also added white surfaces to the motorcycle, consisting of the front fender and the seat underside. The underside panel also comes with AEROX typography in black. Other design features on the new Aerox 155 Metallic Black remain the same.

Yamaha Aerox 155 – Technical Specifications & Features

Apart from the new colour, Yamaha did not make any mechanical changes or updates to features. Powering the Aerox 155 is a Yamaha YZF R15-derived 155cc single-cylinder motor. The liquid-cooled engine features VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology and an integrated starter generator. The compact engine produces 15 PS of power and 13.9 Nm of torque and pairs with a CVT automatic gearbox.

The Aerox 155 rides on a 26mm telescopic front fork suspension and unit swingarm with twin shocks on the rear. The Aerox also comes with a 230 mm hydraulic disc brake on the front. Braking power for the rear comes from a 130 mm mechanical drum brake on the rear. The maxi-scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/80 front and 140/70 rear tubeless tyres.

The Yamaha Aerox comes with features such as a 24.5-litre under-seat storage area. This large storage box is able to accommodate a full-size helmet and other oddities. Yamaha also offers the scooter with a full LCD 5.8-inch instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The maxi-scooter also comes with LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED taillamps
