Yamaha launches helmets for women and kids

In a bid to promote road safety, it is now mandatory for pillion riders in Delhi to wear helmets. Following suit, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (YMIS) has launched a range of two-wheeler helmets for women and kids. These helmets are priced in the range of Rs. 990 – Rs. 1,380.

These helmets are ISI approved and are available in multiple colours to suit ones taste. Both, kids and women get half faced helmets. However, we still feel full faced helmets provide much better safety in case of an accident, where the chin area is most prone to suffer an injury.

We urge all motorcyclists to insist on their pillion rider wearing a helmet. In case of an accident, the rider still has some idea about what is happening, but the pillion is always caught unaware.
