Just to add some glamour on their stands, Yamaha showcased the radical YZF-R6 at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2018 in India. This bike is not going to be launched anytime soon in our market, and was here just for posing. The Yamaha YZF-R6 is styled on similar lines of the elder sibling, the YZF-R1.

Powering the R6 is a 599cc, in-line, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled motor producing 118.4 PS of power @ 14500 RPM and 61.7 Nm of torque @ 10500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Just in case you are curious about the redline, it begins at 17,000 RPM.

The bike features ride-by-wire, adjustable traction control system, riding modes, digital + analogue instrument console, Deltabox chassis, magnesium rear subframe, KYB fork, ABS, LED lighting and typical R-series styling. The new Yamaha YZF-R6 also comes with a midship titanium muffler.
