Yamaha has recently developed an app which lets users virtually customize their motorcycle before buying them.
Called the ‘My Garage App’ available on Apple iOS and Android, it simulates 3D models of Yamaha’s Sports Heritage range. This includes the XV950, XV950 Racer, XV950R, XSR700, VMax, VMax Carbon, XJR1300, XJR1300 Racer.
The app lets you customize everything starting from colours, exhausts, screens and stickers to luggage, frame protection, rear-sets, license plate holders, mudguards and even handlebar kits. The app even shows the estimate cost of the motorcycle and lets you book your ride through the app itself. New age booking isn’t it?
We believe this is a pilot project and the app could be modified for all the bikes.
