Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Nurburgring lap record details
The newly created lap record by the SU7 Ultra electric car is nothing short of a testament to Chinese EV technology. The production version of the SU7 Ultra has completed the 28 km lap of the Nurburgring circuit in a record 7 minutes and 4.957 seconds.
While this recorded timing might look fast, it can not shadow the fact that the race prototype version of the SU7 Ultra had earlier completed the same Nurburgring lap in 6 minutes and 46.87 seconds.
With that said, it has become the fastest production electric car to lap the famous race track. Additionally, it has pushed the Rimac Nevera to the second-fastest position, beating it by 0.341 seconds.
Speaking of the SU7 Ultra, it uses three electric motors, two at the rear and one at the front. The combined power output from the triple-motor setup stands at a whopping 1,548 bhp, and the peak torque is 1,770 Nm.
As per the company’s claim, it can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 1.98 seconds, while its top speed stands at 350 km/h. Moreover, its 93.7 kWh battery pack offers a maximum range of up to 630 km, as per the Chinese Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.
