Volvo Cars India has removed the Volvo S90 luxury sedan from the brand’s sales portfolio in India. This leads us to believe that the brand could have discontinued the S90 in the Indian market. It can also mean that Volvo is planning the bring in the updated version of the Volvo S90. The brand had revealed the 2020 Volvo S90 at the beginning of 2020.
In the Indian market, Volvo sold the S90 in the D4 Inscription trim priced at INR 58.90 lakh ex-showroom. Powering the Volvo S90 D4 Inscription was a 2.0-litre diesel motor. The engine made 190 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine came with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel-drive architecture. The brand also limited the top speed of the sedan to 230 kmph. If Volvo plans to launch the mid-cycle update S90 in India, the sedan is likely to come with a new Plug-in Hybrid technology.
