Written by News Team

Volvo has officially confirmed that the Volvo EX30 will make its way to the Indian market in 2025. As the brand’s entry-level electric SUV, the EX30 aims to offer an eco-friendly driving experience without compromising on style and features.

Design and Exterior Highlights

The EX30 boasts a minimalistic yet elegant exterior design. Key highlights include:

  • Closed-Off Grille: The front grille is closed off, emphasizing the EV’s electric nature. The Volvo logo and front camera are neatly integrated into the grille.
  • Thor Hammer-Shaped LED DRLs: The distinctive LED daytime running lights (DRLs) feature a digital pattern, adding a futuristic touch.
  • Blacked-Out Pillars: The A-, B-, and C-pillars create a floating roof effect, enhancing the SUV’s sleek profile.
  • Stylish LED Tail Lights: Inspired by Volvo’s flagship electric SUV, the EX90, the C-shaped LED tail lights create a striking rear design.

Interior Features

Inside the cabin, the EX30 continues the minimalist approach:

  • Dashboard: The dashboard features a modern 3-spoke steering wheel, vertically designed AC vents, and a portrait-style 12.3-inch touchscreen display (with wireless Apple CarPlay).
  • Cabin Themes: Volvo offers four cabin theme options, including dual-tone upholstery choices.
  • Comfort and Convenience: The EX30 comes equipped with wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and an air purifier.

Sustainability and Appeal

Martin Persson, Head of Volvo Cars for Asia Pacific (excluding China), emphasized the EX30’s environmental consciousness: “It is our most sustainable car ever, with a significantly lower CO2 footprint than other cars. Of course, price matters, but I believe it will appeal to environmentally conscious buyers.”

Expected Pricing

While the exact pricing for the Indian market is yet to be announced, the EX30 could be priced from approximately INR 40-45 lakh (ex-showroom) if locally assembled, similar to the XC40 Recharge. However, some other sources suggest a starting price of around ₹50 lakh.
